The early years of the 20th century were the golden age of the picture postcard. Around 900 million cards were posted in 1913. Guildford traders keenly joined in with the craze.

This talk looks into some of the local personalities involved, illustrated with some of the cards they produced. We will highlight the Guildford Institute’s own exceptional postcard collection; many of our cards were added brand-new when they were first produced.
