Talk by David Taylor

The introduction of British designer and artist Edward Burne-Jones to painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rosetti by Vernon Lushington of Cobham helped to lead the second phase of the Pre-Raphaelite art movement.

Dr David Taylor, a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and  Chairman of the Surrey History Trust, is a well-known historian, writer, and speaker. He catalogued the Lushington archive (now held in the Surrey History Centre). His talk will focus on the important, and previously unrecognised, role that Vernon Lushington played in the colourful world of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
